How do I access my lab test results?Infectious disease: At this time, lab test results will be available to you upon receipt of a completed HIPAA release authorization. Reach out to your physician if you are interested in being granted access to this information. Toxicology: Patients should request their lab test result reports directly from their referring provider. For those requests made to Acutis, we will ask for a written request via a completed HIPAA release authorization form for any such requests.

I have questions about my test results. Who should I talk to?Patients should discuss their results with the ordering provider or authorized personnel within the referring facility.

Can I request my own laboratory tests?At this time, Acutis does not accept orders directly from patients. If you are interested in having a specific laboratory test performed, please ask your healthcare provider if the test is appropriate for you, and if he/she can order the test(s) for you. To facilitate your discussion, it might be helpful to bring your healthcare provider a printed copy of the brochure or page from our website where you learned about the test.

What is the cost of COVID 19 PCR and Antibody Testing?Most insurances are covering COVID-19 testing with no cost to patients. Uninsured patients will be covered by HRSA. Charges for testing are listed below:​​​​ Acutis’ SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing cash price is $200.00. Acutis’ SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Antibody testing cash price is $75.00 per unit.

Why does Acutis require payment for COVID-19 testing? Doesn’t my insurance cover the cost of the test?Acutis Diagnostics works with pharmacies in the NY and NJ area to provide accurate COVID-19 PCR testing with fast results. This is a self-pay testing option, beneficial to those without insurance, visiting from another country, or anyone looking for a reliable testing option without the long wait at urgent cares and other facilities. At this time, we are unable to accept insurance and therefore require a payment of $150 at the time of booking your appointment to cover the cost of the PCR test.

Are uninsured patients covered for COVID testing?Prior to 3/22/2022, the COVID HRSA fund covered all COVID testing for those without insurance. Acutis is monitoring this closely and is hopeful the government will replenish the funds for this program. In the interim, Acutis will accept COVID testing for the uninsured at no cost when medically necessary as defined by the CDC. Please have your patients visit our Financial Assistance Application area to access this program. For up to date information, contact our Billing team at BillingManagement@acutis.com.

What is surveillance testing and is it covered by insurance?Surveillance testing is any COVID testing that is not being performed in conjunction with the patient’s medical care and/or condition. This includes routine employee testing, school-related testing, testing for travel or recreation purposes, and any other testing that is for persons without symptoms or confirmed exposure to a COVID-positive person as defined by the CDC. Surveillance testing is not covered by health plans. Contact your Acutis Sales Rep or our dedicated Billing Management team with any additional questions.
