On Sunday, September 19th, we celebrated Acutis Day 2021 near our New York headquarters at Belmont State Park.

The Acutis SRRC - Social Responsibility Response Committee - suggested the idea for Acutis Day to provide an opportunity for our team members to connect outside of dedicated work hours, increase engagement, and motivate each other in some friendly competitions, while also commemorating a year at our new headquarters campus.
As the COVID-19 pandemic persists and continues to be top-of-mind, the SRRC made sure we could host Acutis Day 2021 outdoors to allow for social distancing while celebrating one of our organization's most important assets - our team members. The day was filled with team competitions including tug-of-war, relay races, and trivia, as well as food from local small businesses, music, and other entertainment. Members from all teams within the organization were present, from colleagues of our Laboratory Accessioning team to our Quality Assurance team to our Research and Development team.

Antouine Shand, our Desktop Support Specialist, raved about Acutis Day saying, "The day started out as an opportunity for team members to see some colleagues outside of the office/remote environment, enjoy some food and see what the other half of their face looks like. By the end of the day there was nothing but smiles, laughs and Acutis bonding. Whether participating in an event, on the sidelines intensely cheering your team on, or snapping photos, the event from beginning to end was filled with positive energy. Here’s to Acutis Day 2022 being bigger and better!"
Upon a successful inaugural Acutis Day, we predict this will become an annual event where our team members across the country can join us. We extend a huge thank you to the Acutis SRRC for preparing a day filled with exciting events and team-building activities. We are already looking forward to next year's event!
